I've gone Fire Emblem mad.

Favorite couples? Ike/Soren and Shinon/Gatrie.

Ike is such a tactless bastard, that is why I love him.. and I know Soren secretly likes it, and Shinon.. definite asshole. (Todd a few nights ago was like "Wow Nia, you sure latch on to the strangest characters" in regards to my sudden Shinon-love.)

But anyways, yes. Fire Emblem. MY NEW CRACK. (And you are like.. 'But Nia, I thought Crisis Core was your new crack'.) Remember kids.. I change fandoms like underwear... once and in some special circumstances TWICE a day.

My hair is also no longer blonde with black tips. It's strawberry blonde (I mean my hair is the blondest that it's ever BEEN since a chilld, seriously) and tomorrow I go in to get darker lo-lights. *as well as a few pale blonde streaks*) It's very exciting.

I had to call the police tonight. It wasn't for the place where I lived but the place across teh street. I came out at like 1:30 and saw that the door to their house was wide open, I was concerned of course as I could see no lights coming from the house, so I went to the grocery store and then when I came back the door was still open and so I went inside, put away my makings for a BLT sammich (cravings.. yum) and then I called the police and asked if they could go over there and make sure that everything was okay. They went over there and well now the light is off.. and the door is closed (I think). So I'm just hoping that someone just forgot to shut the door. It was merely me being a concerned neighbor. (hey it gives the Sault police something to do aside from troll the holiday gas station and stock up on donuts)

Now that it's taken care of, tiem for delicious BLT. (I also bought some cheesecake) The food I bought will be my dinner for tonight and tomorrow. YAY!

Also, Lala.. she's a serial raeper. Seriously. She keeps giving me those meows that go. "GET IN YOUR GODDAMN BED SO I CAN CUDDLE RAEP U NAO!" Oh, she's so totally a lap kitty, she spent alot of the afternoon snuggled in my lap, purring and cuddling.. does my heart good.

I -might- has a cat.

I'm saying "might' because I'm not sure. But there was this stray, thin as bones, obviously really young.. she came up to me a week ago and was just purring and demanding pets. I pet her and felt bad for her but was wary of giving her food. Then when shukoi and I were walking Midori, she ran out to me immediately, and I pet her and then Jenny was like "Poor kitty, does she have a home" and then suggested that we put her in the garage while we fed her something. Then we talked about it and decided to take her to the vet to get checked up and vaccinations and well checked out.

So now we're talking about keeping her if we can't find her owner. We're checking signposts as we speak, but I do not think that she had an owner that took very good care of her, she was scrawny and needed some food, she went into the cat carrier no question and it was obvious that she'd never been to a vet before. The vet said that she's probably around a year old, gave her the vaccinations (Oh the hissing fits were fabulous, more fabulous then any of the cats I've ever been with..) and there's a chance she's either preggy or she has a stuffed belly. *she ate ALOT*

She hasn't been spayed because the doctor shaved her and saw absolutely no fixed scars.

So anyways, I thought that Lala was a cute name for her.. if we keep her, I'm going with that. (Lala from the manga Princess... As much as I'd want her to be named Eshild, theoretically Prim is more like Eshild in personality then this kitty is). Besides, it's easy to remember for Midori.

If in fact she is preggy, then somewhere there is a Skadei tom that probably should be fixed. Bad Skadei.. bad bad bad.

You know, despite what everyone may think, my sekrit music weakness is mainstream music. I like indie granted.. but I am just a damn sucker for music with a good pop and/or dance beat. Take the song by Maroon 5 ft Rihanna... I am so adoring the song that it's not even funny. There are little things that I've learned about myself in the past year, things that are slightly crazy but I realized make up -me-. One of them is of course that I like reality TV and can be a glued to the TV when therein is gathered a bunch of people who do stupid stuff. Secondly is my love of pop. (And even more sekrit... boy bands. Don't ask, I swear it's the truth).

It's amazing what you'll find on MTV during the night when they actually -play- (*gasp*) music videos.

I want to icon but I don't know what I want to icon. FFIV is an option, Crisis Core would be an option too if I actually could find a good Zack screencap.. though there are alot of good caps at the beginning that I dig.

You know, I only have seven icons uploaded to this journal. Only the ones that I've a deep and abiding love for. This one is of my most favorite heterosexual couple of all times, Leo and Eshild! Now I'm going to start rambling about the manga series Princess, so really it's better to stop reading right now if you can't stand manga rambling. But yes, it's a really good series. An extended review can be read in increments over at my IJ. But well it's a series that spans over 30 years I think. It takes place with four girls, and the men who love them. (Nia.. reading something with not a bit of gay in it.. wilder things have happened, kids). The main girl, Bii and the Prince of Ramira, Biyon. (Bii is a server girl who grew up with the Prince). They fall in love but it's just unsuitable for a Prince to marry a server girl. He's then engaged to Eshild because that's appropriate and Bii is sent off to the country so that the Prince will forget about her. Step in Leo, Biyon's best friend and vassal who falls in love with Eshild and is sent to 'protect' her. Eshild however has different plans, she finagles Leo into swordplay lessons and they eventually fall in love with each other.. (but because Eshild is set to marry Biyon, well there is the angst, except it's not angst so much as Leo glowers over the fact that he can't have her and Eshild goes off to stab things with her sword. Stuff happens, people die... through 30 volumes. It's still ongoing too. (in fact I'm waiting for the scans to release for the rest of volume 31.)

Leo and Eshild give me heart stabbies.. but in the best possible way.

It's the reason why on IJ, I have like 25 icons of Eshild. Perfect woman, clearly an aries. My fond nickname for her is Battle Maid Eshild.

Most Princess icons I make are from black and white. This icon of the both of them.. it was originally black and white, so is my infamous Battle Maid Eshild icon that is the placeholder for my journal.

My current work in icons.. be warned, there is a million Princess icons later on

Well....

Story involving me and straight guy that likes me (at Walmart). No seriously.. Walmart is switching to this new Freight system where we all arrange our stuff in the backroom and I was in the back hefting pallets for Frannie. (because she's itty bitty short and I'm strong). I saw her struggling with one and so I pick it up and put it on the rolly cart, when I turn around.. there is this guy and he's reaching to tweak my arm. and then he goes "Mmmm muscle" and I just look at him because he's just invaded my personal space. Not to where I'm offended, but to where I give him the 'stand down' look.

This comes of course the day after I'm zoning in women's and he's taking back carts and he cuts RIGHT through softlines, not just through softlines but over the woods (a term we use for the hardwood floors) and right past the table IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WOODS where I am zoning the Faded Glory old women shirts display. EVERYONE IN THE STORE doesn't cut through softlines, but he felt he -had- to. I want to draw a little map but I can't. But let's just say it's a route that no one has EVER taken by shopping cart processional. I mean it's ludicrous that he'd even do it.

Once again not offended, I just feel terribly mocking. Obviously no one has told him that I'm a lesbian yet, but I'm just going to pull a Kendappa on him.

Of course I've not stopped iconing. While over at GJ, I went through a large part where all I iconed was Gundam 00, then it was Princess. Now it seems to be FFIV.

I just don't update Soylent Icons anymore. Just because I didn't log over here nearly as much, and I'm still not really. I update and do alot of crossposting, when I can think about it. (I did post one thing that I didn't post over here, that was just a brief Princess rant, spreading my special form of bitchery about all the fanfucks in that place that seem to think that a weeping idiot woman in a big foofy dress seems to be the better alternative to a strong woman who can kick ass and take names and doesn't need a man to save her and likewise doesn't need to be a lesbian to do the ass kicking. God damn it, I swear. This is why I safely play in my corner with the twin star, especially where idiocy is concerned.

I still love Xenogears, and I'm hoping that they are going to release it for PSP. (that would be awesome)

Did I also mention that Soraya Saga (wife of the creator of Xenogears, Takahashi) drew me a PICTOOOR. Myself, Tinrobo, Atma-Weapon, Katimus and a few others have been conversing with Soraya over @ Deviantart. I jokingly told her that if she ever wanted to draw Sigurd again, I'd like so totally love it. Sure enough, two weeks later, I am getting in from work, check my journal and Tin had commented on my entry spazzing the hell out and going. "OMG NIA CHECK DEVIANTART NOW!". And there it was. Sigurd. Not just Sigurd, but SIGURD AND HYUGA.. From the one who had originally CREATED Sigurd.

I was walking on cloud 9 for the rest of the week. I don't think my feet actually touched the ground. Take how I felt when myaru had added me. (someone who I had idolized excessively, because of her contribution to Xenogears, look at her database, THE best database ever for the game) and multiply it.. by a large number.

A list of other things of note.

1.) Not working for Penny's Kitchen anymore. Penny was a nazi. Instead I am working at Walmart, I get to hang up clothing and process freight. Oh yes and I work at night, thus bringing me back to my night owl roots.
2.) Going through a Jpop/Jrock disillusionment, purging -most- of that music from my playlist. I can't listen to alot of it without getting that queasy feeling in my stomach. There are a few that stay, because they are so damn catchy and I like it, chances are is that if it's gotten to be on a disk for my car, I'm keeping it. However in it's place I've grown attached to some rocking english-speaking artists. Sara Bareilles, Jimmy Eat World, Arctic Monkeys, Snow Patrol, Nerina Pallot.. and a whole bunch of other artists.
3.) New Kids on the Block. They are back. Both Mish and I were giggling over it. It seems Joey has finally gone through puberty. It's about bloody time. Their song "summertime" is strangely addictive though and I find myself tapping my feet. Though there was speculation between me and Mish about how we think the 30 year old fangirls will behave, and if they are going to go out and buy the NKOTB matching sheet sets (and how will their husbands react?) This won't be a worry for all of those 30 year old virgin women though who've saved themselves for Jordan Knight, they're probably still -sleeping- on those sheets back from the 80s. (do us a favor and wash your sheets)
4.) Isaac Hayes has gone off to join Xenu, rest in peace. You'll be remembered for your Shaft theme song, I can guarentee it.
5.) I think I've rambled on enough as it is. Going to go and get dressed.

You know that FFVII Crisis Core is addictive when it's 7:30 and you promise yourself that you'll play for an hour, and then you start playing.. the next time you look up; it's 9:30 and you should of already been in BED by now. D'oh. Well at any rate, got alot of missions done, and the only reason why I looked up is because I saw my little light flashing that said I had to charge it. Poor Zack, we shall pick up your story later. (I really wasn't doing anything storyline-ish except for getting rid of some missions and collecting materia.

I blame it on Angeal's fine ass. (anyone else found that Angeal has a very very very nice bum drawer? Maybe that's just the Zack in me thinking that, or something along those lines.

Anyways... to bed with me.

And technically, yes.. I -was- in bed. I was under the covers and everything. I was just playing on my handheld crack... it's like masturbation, except not so sticky.

I have decided for the most part to cross post from LJ to IJ.. or at least when I can remember to do so. I'm going to keep fandom stuff underneath a cut text and real life stuff usually goes above cuts unless I'm prattling on as usual.. then I'll cut it as well.

The Olympics have started and since I now know the joys of cable, I can actually watch men's figure skating if I so wish. I have an obsession with men's figure skating because let's face it, there's nothing gayer then a man going over the ice in tight ass leotards and doing jumps and spins. (and skating costumes.. usually glittery). Though in terms of real life gayness, I think the pinnacle of it was when I let the College Theater Professor's BOYFRIEND borrow some yaoi manga. I was never so embarassed in my life. It was kind of funny, but it was sort of like "Well I hope he doesn't think that I think that way about all real life gay men.". I know quite well that yaoi is fantasy (though in my imaginings Hyuga and Sigurd still have sex ten times a day.. because it's just that, a fantasy).

Ohohohoho.. though, today one of the new straight guys started hitting on me. He's probably the only one on night shift that doesn't know I'm a lesbian. What the hell is it with guys. I mean he pouted when I didn't give him my reeses peanut butter cup (I hate peanut butter.. and I get a lunchable every day a work.. which unfortunately -has- that in it, along with the little fold out Star Wars booklets that sort of loses it's charm once you get Anakin EVERY SINGLE TIME.)

Well he'll find out, someone's bound to tell him that I'm a lesbian.. either that or they're going to sit there and snicker at him while he makes a fool out of himself.

I am thinking of like doing away with all the icons over here and uploading new ones. I have a bunch of Eshild ones that beg to be used as well as some FFIV ones (from the DS remake. Been playing that, and Crisis Core which is strangely addicting.. thus forcing me to eat my words that FF7 is a waste of time.. well wait, the actual game is.. I liked Crisis Core though, and Zack is a fairly decent main character.. he's certainly endeared himself to me where Cloud generally can't)

So how is everyone? Anything new to report?

Hello everyone!

Just a very brief touch-in to see how everyone is doing and wipe my list of everyone who has deleted me. Once again can be found over at jyuukoi @ insanejournal.. and I've been stricken by the Princess bug. Not Princess as in Princess Princess, but it's a manwha. Has the best female character ever.. Eshild. (and my favorite couple is heterosexual.. oh my... if wonders will never cease.)

I've just iconed ten million icons of Eshild, and well nothing else much of note. I'm certainly very silly about it and my wants and loves. Remember once again if you want to delete me, go right ahead and do it because I'm not moving from IJ.

Man I should just upload all my Eshild icons.. all 30 of them. It'd be a vast improvement but I'm not in the mood to dick around with userpictures.

rhapsodyofbliss and I just sunk most of the Gundam series in a WEEK. Which is a record for us. And all I have to say is. "WHAT THE HELL WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL OCTOBER FOR THE NEXT SEASON?!?!" Sunrise, D'oh. MUCH STABBITIES.. MUCH STABBITIES.

Hark, I have pairings that I like. (for all of you who do not like homosexual pairings, don't bother reading much past this.. because yes, I have a few homosexual pairings that I like and I'm going to expound upon them RIGHT now.)

Tieria/Lockon. Yes, you did see it coming.. and the end fueled it for me.. and while I won't say that it is canon per se, but it certainly has ENOUGH subtext to substantiate it in my mind and make it uber sweet.

Hallelujah/Allelujah. Crackship ahoy! But hey I found japanese fanart of it. There was a long discussion I had with a bourgeoning Hallelujah muse involving how masturbation was technically incest because you couldn't get any more related to you then yourself and that is probably why Onan got struck down by God in the Bible, because he was sleeping with himself. ~~And you know, masturbation.. everyone does it and the people who don't masturbate are either asexual or liars.~~

Graham/Billy - "That's why I fell for him..".. exact words in, what was it the second or third episode. Yes it was a joke, but you know what.. so what. I think it's cute in it's own convoluted way.

Louise/Saji - Oh gods the angst.. OH I HOPE THEY HOOK UP IN THE NEXT SEASON OH IF THERE ARE GODS IN THE WORLD THEY WILL DO SO.

Setsuna/Exia - Because let's face it.. he's fixated with his gundam.

Felt/Kris: - Very little canon basis, however Kris is always trying to have Felt go off and do other things like shopping. (And I bet Felt secretly enjoys it)

Mei/Hong - The idol princess and her ninja warrior.. that is true love right there.

I hated most of the thrones with the exception of Johan. Mihael and Neena were absolutely vile.. Johan was probably just as bad but he wasn't OBNOXIOUS. I can do destructive if they are not obnoxious, seriously when Neena opened fire on that wedding party just because they were having fun while she couldn't.. well damn it, I just wanted to kill her and then stake her so that she didn't decide to just randomly come back to life due to her evil vampiric uber-bitch powers.

Honestly Neena made Tieria seem like a fucking good samaritan.

Anyone who is STILL upset about squenix_uni needs to grow the fuck up. Seriously. That happened a YEAR AND A HALF AGO. Both I and rhapsodyofbliss are done with it and have moved on with our lives, and your petty comments are just that, petty. Why don't you go and do something more productive with your time then dwell over the past. Well my first day of my new job came and went. Here are some random notices (I'm not mentioning where I work for obvious reasons *damn blogging*)

I have to say that everything that has happened today has been positive. I woke up ass-early and yet I came in with a slightly nervous yet quite happy attitude and well I actually had managers that 'cared' about me, it was definitely something that I've not seen since my Days at Pizza Etc, Penny cared only when it suited her needs to care about me or in front of people where she wanted to look good, but today I got several compliment on organizing the lingerie.. and the department manager had nothing but good to say, didn't look at me like I was stupid when I asked a question, and was generally kind and helpful.

I spent two hours processing stock, taking it out of it's boxes, hanging it up and making sure it looked pretty, then I went to the section that I had enumerated, there was a store meeting which really wasn't too bad at all. The people were nice and the day just whizzed by because I always had something to do but I in no way felt stressed or rushed. It was busy without being hectic.

Oh yes and I finally figured out my combination lock and while I can't undo it with record speed, I can get it opened on one try. (practice practice practice)

I've not had a workday like this since November of 2006.

Just to let everyone know, Aishiteru Baby is like a bucket of cute. I mean it's always been on my list of anime to watch since polyurethane watched it but I've never gotten around to it, AND OH THE SECOND EPISODE IS DONE AND I THINK YUZU IS LIKE THE MOST ADORABLE THING EVER.. ever ever ever. (And Kippei, he's a dork.. an absolute dork).

Sometimes I fan over things that make me happy, but I think that's not such a bad thing.

Also on the Antique Bakery front, they are KEEPING ONO GAY. (unlike the J-drama which wanted to wipe every vestige of homosexuality from him) For the win, Please July get here soon so I can watch it!

I am back from Cleveland, Ohio.. and you know that snow storm that Cleveland got blasted? YUP I WAS IN THE THICK OF IT. Insane ammount of fun, seriously. I got a whole lot of nothing done but it was nice, and I made it back not breaking the bank (thanks to alot of people who I PROMISE I am going to pay back in some way shape or form. I'm now just at the amount of money that I'm going to need for my car insurance. (I was scared constantly for a moment, because I didn't want to overspend and not have that amount in the bank.

Now comes the work time, where I wait for Wal-mart to call me back and give me a time for orientation, and then after that I need to start staying up as late as possible so that I can get myself accustomed to my NEW WORKSCHEDULE (tm).

We also read outloud more Good Omens (I've read it once but myself but now rhapsodyofbliss have been reading it aloud for Todd. And OH HOW I LOVE AZRIPHALE and CROWLEY. (together -and- apart). There are certain passages that verily clinch it for me. Books about Angels, Demons and the End of the World (prachett and gaimen style) are for the win.

So anyways, HELLO EVERYONE! I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Antique Bakery to be ANIMATED

Antique Bakery: A manga about four guys in a cake shop. It is not yaoi (though the mangaka has written ALOT of really smutty boy on boy stuff) but it does have a guy who is gay, and another guy who falls prey to his demonically gay charm *without the two actually doing it*. The manga is not like alot of yaoi manga out there, it's known for a heartfelt sweetness and rapport between the four characters, and it has been my favorite light manga series (It's sort of like Cafe Kichiouji except with more gay).

Series like these I think always get overlooked for the more smutty and pr0ny ones, the simple sweet series that gives you a really good feeling in your heart without a whole lot of sexual tension. Where the characters are who they are and with no apologies whatsoever.. the owner of the cafe who is very much straight, his demonically charming gay baker, the owner's bodyguard who somehow falls prey to that charm, and then the young up-in starting baker ex-boxer who decided that boxing was not for him and instead wanted to bake.

I am seriously going to be cruising for this anime when it comes out in July. It's slated to be approximately 12 episodes.

HURRAY!

The only thing that could of made me happier was if they had told me that HanaKimi was going to be animated. Unfortunately no.. sad day. (because Gay doctors pwn Gay Bakers.. EVERY TIME)

So anyways.

I've fallen in love with the anime series Aria and I've completed the first two seasons. Now I am watching the Origination. What an excellent series and I recommend it to anyone. My Aria review can be found at my IJ account. I need to upload two of my Aria icons here so that I have representation here. I mean it would be nice to find more fans who are interested in it so that I won't feel as if I'm the only one knows what she's talking about in reference to Aria

And it has a giant KITTY CAT in it. (yay Cait Sith)

I have found something new to squee over and that makes me happy.

It's funny but I've not felt so much shock over another person's death as I did Heath Ledger. It is just because well damn he's not that old at all. I was logging into my yahoo mail and saw the words heath ledger and dead, which I usually do just a cursory glance at the news while I'm waiting for my mail to load.

Then it was almost like *BACKSPACE* WHAAAAA?
